Re: BMW Airhead "Kompressor" Reborn

... Then it seemed like the "hungry ducks" came out of the wood work and attacked the fact of any modifications having been made to such a perfect German engineered machine, even that I would bother others with detail of such a project. Let's just say I removed my material/ posts, and bea...

Re: GTS1000 on MicroSquirt running MSExtra

My new Dual VR Boards came in the post today, so I was able to resume where I left off. I am having a few issues with my beta unit at the moment, but I'm sure it probably my settings, as I am getting a few resets, unstable tach events and I'm not so sure why. To keep things moving along, I decided t...

Re: GTS1000 on MicroSquirt running MSExtra

....The cased MicroSquirts are green for go, and now I am hoping I can move forward again with this engine some more. All this optimism and then the reality. I got distracted by some beta testing the last few days, and was revisiting the Dual VR board last night, and I don't know what happened but ...

Re: GTS1000 on MicroSquirt running MSExtra

I have been busy with the rig on and off and it's moving forwards. However the GTS1000 side of the project was always problematic with its cam sensor VR2 voltage outputs not being sufficient to trigger the cased MicroSquirt at cranking speeds. Once it was running it was OK. Today I cleared the bench...

Re: Suzuki GSF 400 Bandit

But the thing that bugs me if it is a "noise" issue is, why it appears now all of a sudden and not earlier or even from the beginning. Vibration can kill connections, and the resistance/grounds shift or the battery could be in a different state in day to day use and the alternator is load...

Re: Suzuki GSF 400 Bandit

...On the other hand in one of the datalogs I can see an RPM signal of 22K RPM while cranking... ! Almost certainly noise, maybe AC interference from the alternator, as I have seen this one before. (Yes I am living in Athens, Greece and we are going through rough seas. And things don't seem to impr...

Re: BMW Airhead "Kompressor" Reborn

... I'm looking for ideas (I have several, but have tended to give creed to "Pigs in Space" technology at times) on control of my water injection, but rather than launching into it here, I'll post over on MS, down on the Extra forum. I dug this link up for you, should be helpful, if you'r...

Re: BMW Airhead "Kompressor" Reborn

I'm rather pleased with the Extra 3.1 download... I was an early adopter using the MSExtra 3.0.3 versions and there were a few bugs along the way. I never got my 3.1 to transition nicely when I did a firmware upgrade, in fact the engine was worse on warm up and getting to a stable idle, but I need ...

Re: BMW Airhead "Kompressor" Reborn

... Quite pleased with the reservoir which worked out to 1 usg (4 liters) capacity. Sort of a "where is Waldo" type item in blending with the original look (hidden within rear seat). So, out of curiosity, how long before you think you have to refill the tank...yep I know it depends what y...

Re: Suzuki GSF 400 Bandit

Used DENSO injectors from CBR600 and their fuel rail modified in order to fit in the b4 airbox. Original bandit MIKUNI carbs are still used as throttle bodies (diaphragm-slide-jet needle assembly removed though) Any pictures or links, as above sounds interesting? PS Congrats, and I think there is a...
