Thanks for posting what you found. And you bring up a great point where a mechanical issue was causing your sync problems.

Re: '98 Subaru - MSII, v3.0, fuel and spark

I have been running trouble-free for the last 1 1/2 years and 12k miles with my MS. In summer months I have been adding E85 to pump gas in a 3/10 ratio and have been running 20+ psi boost. In winter months I switch to straight pump gas and turn down the boost to 15 psi.

If you have 16 injectors you will be about to support 700 HP. Eight injectors at 24 lb/hr will only support 350 HP.

Re: 1995 Nissan Pathfinder

My IAT sensor is placed before the inlet of the throttle body. I just calibrated the sensor and used EasyTherm to get the measured values. I am getting more realistic values now.

Re: 1995 Nissan Pathfinder

I am up to 11 psi boost. I need to add a boost controller and figure out a tach output signal for tach gauge.

And with the 36-2-2-2 crank gear, you don't need a cam signal. One VR signal gets the job done! Wow! Never realized that. I just figured since the stock ecu used both inputs, the megasquirt would need the same. BUT, i think i see where the difference is. I'm betting that you aren't running sequenti...

Re: 1999 Subaru Legacy GT w/ JDM Turbo EJ20G & MS3/X

I replaced my 6-tooth crank gear with a 36-2-2-2 crank gear on a '98 Impreza. Very easy and it used the stock crank VR. And with the 36-2-2-2 crank gear, you don't need a cam signal. One VR signal gets the job done!

Re: 1999 Subaru Legacy GT w/ JDM Turbo EJ20G & MS3/X

I used the factory wiring for the crank gear and a 36-2-2-2 into a V3.0 board. Both pots cranked in fully CCW. Had spark on my first try (coil packs were reversed) and 12,000 trouble-free miles. Some others have had to add some resistors to the signal coming in. This post sheds some light on the top...
