Re: 87 Nissan 200SX, SR20DE+T, MS1-Extra

Decided to ditch using a VR sensor for the crank wheel, and bought a new hall effect sensor that DIYAutoTune came out with. It's a really nice sensor, no VR conditioner to deal with, just a nice clean square wave signal... And I didn't have to change any wiring really, just pulled the lead from the ...

Wow, 17.5:1... That's pretty lean.
I think maybe I need to lean out my cruise a little now, I hover around 16:1.

Not getting any overheating issues on long highway cruises? Though I suppose you have a pretty beefy radiator to go with that big engine.

No kidding, no way you could pull that with a carb I'd bet.

What kind of AFR are you running on cruise?

Re: 87 Nissan 200SX, SR20DE+T, MS1-Extra

If it were only that easy... Parts aren't easy to find to begin with, at least around here. lol I got a reman'd shaft on it's way, we'll see how long that one will last (or the other OE), worst case I have to get some custom stronger axles made up. Never thought I'd ever break an axle with a T25, I'...

Re: 1995 Nissan Pathfinder

I've been thinking about doing this to my Dad's 96 SE Pathfinder, he's tired of the OEM fuel mileage and I know I could get better with Megasquirt and make more power at the same time! Probably not with a turbo though... 135 degrees IAT seems a little hot, even on my tiny T25 I rarely see over 115.....

Some more tuning work.

Much better now and safe.
I haven't seen any MAT over 120 deg F yet either, so the intercooler is doing it's job (it's about 95 out today).

I've attached my latest MSQ, for those interested.

Re: 87 Nissan 200SX, SR20DE+T, MS1-Extra

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y59/seishuku/graph-6.png Latest WOT graph... DC and AFRs are much better now. It would seem that a combination of low fuel level and pressure set to 70PSI instead of 60PSI were the cause of my problems, though I was still maxing out my 450CC injectors. At least now ...

Re: 87 Nissan 200SX, SR20DE+T, MS1-Extra

The reluctor wheel was made our WaterJet, custom job. But unfortunately I can't do any more of them, not with out it costing a lot of money. Same goes for the CAS disc, but that didn't really work out quite as well as I wanted, it seems the waterjet isn't quite as accurate as it needs to be for a sm...

Re: 87 Nissan 200SX, SR20DE+T, MS1-Extra

Still need bigger injectors, 520CC/min isn't enough apparently. Still borderline, but safe for now.
