Name: Per Andersen

Vehicle: 1987 Volvo 760 V6

Engine: Rover SD1 V8, 3.5 litre, from 1986, SRM screw supercharger running at 0.8 bar.

Injection: Based on the cars existing L-Jetronic injection. MS cooperating with Volvo's EZ-K ignition computer.

Comments: This type of Volvo has a Bosch Motronic fuel computer (replaced by MS) and a separate EZ-K ignition computer that works together, sharing some sensors. Just to let all you Volvo guys out there know that this can be done very easy (when one finally finds out how to wire the Motronic plug). I have driven it for a short trip and everything looks good.

Update: Up running with MS for 3 weeks now and running even much better than the old Lucas L-Jetronic. Fuel economy has improved some and the mid range torque is much better. Hot starting seems to be a little difficult to tune in. However the engine runs as it ever has before, much smoother and more responsive. The top end power feels as before, but it is particular in the mid rpm the improvement lies with my setup. Adapting this car and Range Rovers (same EFI system and engine) is very straigth forward job. No rewiring, all sensors from the Lucas system can be used.
