1980 Mercedes 450slc K-Jetronic (CIS) conversion

Post by oughtsix »

Here is a link to my website with the step by step process I went through to upgrade my K-Jetronic fuel injection system to Megasquirt V2 board V3. Included is information on:

1) Fitting Mustang injectors into the head.
2) Fabricating fuel rails.
3) A blue print for the fuel rails.
4) A bill of materials.

With several pictures.

I would appreciate any comments and feed back on the website. It is a work in progress and I will be periodically updating the site.

Thank you,
Mike.

I have made several updates to my MegaSquirt install website including many photos. Contents now include:
Preinstall checklist
Bill of materials
Removing and reinstalling the intake manifold.
Altering the Mustang injectors to fit in the heads.
Building a fuel rail out of fuel rail stock.
Fuel rail layout drawing.
Building fuel rail retaining clips.
And I have made a good start on documenting the wiring.

I will continue to update my site in the coming weeks.

I have completely re engineered my website and moved from an old PIII in my garage to a hosting server from GoDaddy. Hopefully the access problems should behind me now and site access should be very stable.

I have added a page on plumbing the air filter and intake piping.

Thank you to the powers that be for recognizing that although a 240D may look a lot like a 'K' car they do have a bit different configuration!

Thank you for the Daimler-Benz forum!
