We have squirted a Olds 455 in a GMC motorhome and are very pleased with the results. Modified a stock cast iron manifold by brazing in injector bungs. Using a gutted q-jet with a TPS fitted for the throttle. Pics here

Very nice work. I love the injector rails. What did you have to do to the gjet to make it work as a throttle body? That shaper is awesome.

Dave,
Basically the q-jet needed a tps attached and all the unneeded vacuum holes plugged. I removed the choke plate, secondary flap, and the venturis. The stock q-jet will bolt right back on if I want to go back (NOT GONNA HAPPEN).

What did this do to the fuel economy?

Better by maybe 1/2 mpg. It runs WAY better.

Do you still get the "Q-jet sound" When you get on it?

Any further updates with it? My dad has a Revcon and we are looking into putting squirting it. Have you taken it on any trips yet? Any challenges with the installation? Good looking work you have done there.
