1986 Merkur XR4Ti
Ford 2.3L Engine

Stock short block (re-ring and bearing job)
Highly ported head, stock valves
Ranger roller cam (until i get something better, Boport 1.9 probably)
Holset HE351 turbo
Stinger equal length tubular stainless steel header
30mm Audi external wastegate
4" downpipe transitioned into 3" to the bumper mounted muffler
Custom sheet metal upper intake on older stock inline style lower intake
56mm GM throttle body
Cosworth RS500 replica intercooler and radiator
T5 manual transmission
7.5" trac-lock diff in the otherwise stock IRS, 3.45 gears
Dodge 120 amp alternator on passenger side
Geo Storm power steering pump mounted low on the driver side
JAW diy wideband oxygen sensor setup

Megasquirt stuff:
MS2Extra 2.0.1
MS2 kit from DIY Autotune
Universal harness from RS Autosport
EDIS VR sensor and trigger wheel, megasquirt controlled coil pack for waste spark
Idle control using the stepper IAC in the GM throttle body
90 lbs/hr injectors
Underhood mounted 3 bar GM map sensor, leftover from previous Dodge ECU frankenstien
Realtime baro via the 2.5 bar map included in the kit

Currently running 20 PSI with plenty of room to grow (possibly up to 30 psi).
Still working on closed loop idle control, and plan on starting to experiment with closed loop boost control soon (currently using manual boost controller).

No dyno or track numbers yet as its only been running for a few weels. I expect it to run mid to low 12s and have around 400 rwhp once fully tuned.
It ran high 12s with the previous dodge ecu setup, and it feels at least that fast already.
Overall I am *extremely* impressed with Megasquirt. Once I got some initial hardware issues worked out, it fired right up on stock maps and just plain ran great. Extended the maps to have >100kpa areas and started turning up the boost.

Some pics I have kept over the years as it has evolved:

Theres nothing there yet that includes the MS2 setup, but I will get some added soon.
Theres something wrong with that album software too so it resizes the images horribly. Full size images look fine though.
