1985 XR4Ti MS-I v3.0 TFI

Post by raze »

Like the title says, works great, the car is setup for track, we had it at the Georgia Tech Auto Show last year and plan on a repeat after more upgrades/work this past year:

new pictures and old pictures are here: http://www.epilonious.net/coppermine/index.php?cat=8

MegaSquirt-I V3.0 currently tuned to 23psi, should tap out the turbo around 30-35psi
Holset HY35w turbo upgrade w/ported E6 exhaust manifold
Front mount Intercooler w/2.5" pipe & blow off valve
3" exhaust w/testpipe or catalytic converter and Magnaflow muffler
75 #/hr injectors
255lph fuel pump
Gutted upper, knife edged lower intake
T5 trans and a 1-piece driveshaft
New master cylinder, rotors, pads, and shoes, rear disc conversion next year
new rear half shafts
Koni Red adjustables up front, KYBs out back, full coil overs coming next year
lexan rear windows and sunroof
cleaned out the rust in the gas tank when we swapped in fuel pump
gutted interior, dash, stripped of all sound deadening, PS delete, A/C delete, heater delete, everything that added weight was deleted!
4 point roll bar
rear tower strut brace
Bomz seats with 4 point harnesses (will be going to 5 or 6 point to qualify for NASA racing)
Odyssey dry cell battery mounted on floor behind passenger seat w/external master cut off
front fenders rolled
15" Mustang 'turbine' style wheels with BFGoodrich GForce Sport tires
Windshield wipers, blinkers, lights all work.
The car is 100% smog tested, street legal, taged, titled, and insured and on the road :)

Turned the turbo up and overflowed our wastegate and the 3-BAR MAP, hit 32+psi, had to pull the turbo and port the internal gate, will be testing this weekend to see if we have full control now from 15-35psi :D

Didn't get the issues fixed, still waiting on a new turbine housing clamp from Holset distributor, and need 2 oil fittings, planning on this weekend so we can get it up to Petit Le Mans to watch the race in style :)
