I'm not far off finishing the fine tuning process now and I just need to say that MegaSquirt is absolutely awesome!!! This conversion was done primarily as an experiment to learn more about MS for a planned carb conversion on my race car. I'm am so impressed with this system it's not funny. The car runs better in every way. No one can tell it's not the factory computer. It simply has no little humps, bumps or hicups!

I recomend MS 120%!!!

Just finished upgrading to MS-Extra with ignition control. Also added fan control and used output 3 to disable a/c clutch for 5 seconds after 75% throttle is detected... Also added a Bosch 3 wire ICV, which is great in warmup only mode, but apparently doesn't work with closed loop idle... :-(

Idle is now perfect with the addition of the BOSCH 3 wire driver board from Glen's Garage!

Now using VR input with later model Motronic 60-2 wheel and sensor. Sensor and mount bolted to factoy holes at the front of the block. Got the 60-2 crank damper from a BMW wrecker.

MS Extra settings are:-

Trig pos A = 6
Trig Return pos = 14
Trig pos B = 26
Trig Return pos = 34
Trig pos C = 46
Trig Return pos = 54

The Trigger Angle in the Spark Settings window is 60, but I haven't had the timing light on to fine tune. It must be either very close or spot on as on road testing feels normal. Perhaps someone else can verify???

This is my best MSQ to date:- http://amiles.com.au/rmr/C1_Alpina_V1-0.msq

It is for MS2_Extra V2.0.0.0
req_fuel is for non standard injectors
I have added a 3 wire idle valve
Crank position is via late M20 60-2 wheel & sensor
Accel Enrich is AE. Still can't get EAE right...
Enjoy!
