Name: Peter Florance

Vehicle: 1981 BMW Euro 528i 5 speed

Engine: BMW M30B34 3.5L 6 Cylinder SOHC US spec engine

Injection: Port; Low-Z Bosch Ljet hose-mounted injectors (as supplied OEM to
car)

Description: V1.0 board with V2.2 flyback (TIP42 mounted to case), V2.2 tach circuit and modified to provide +12V at fuel pump output to drive Ljet combo relay directly. Car never ran that great on the Ljet even though I had swapped every part on it. Too lazy to keep troubleshooting; I figured this spare car would make a great test bed for Megasquirt. I gutted old 530i ECU and used it to interface to harness. Propped open dead AFM for now and used it's air sensor as well as original coolant sensor. . Engine has an issue with one bad cam lobe so it's not 100%

Feedback on 4/14/2003:This thing really runs great. It's hard to believe this is a 200K engine. Doesn't idle smooth unless pretty rich; I suspect the roasted cam may be the cause. But it is as strong as any US 528i I've ever driven maybe stronger. Fantastic system! I may try it in the euro next.

2006 - Transfered to euro car and then replaced with V3.0 board, 60-2 wheel with single spark output and settled down at MSNSExtra 29V. Runs like a million bucks and feels to me like a modern car. 6 squirts alternating.

2008 - MS2Extra 2.0.1 then 2.1.0d with EAE enabled

Thanks everyone!!!!!
