Yamaha Vmax with a KKK K04 turbo from an Audi TT

Post by Niels »

My 6th running project I made :

Vehicle: 1997 Yamaha Vmax

Engine: 1200 cc V4

Injection: Port injection with GSXR600 bodies and 4 injectors from a Mustang ( new Bosch style 380 cc/min ).
Using now the MS Extra code with the 029w code.

Description: K04 turbo with XS power external wastegate controlled by TPS and PWM valve boostcontroll software from the MSEFI.
Blow off. Home made stainless steel exhaust.
K&N air filter. Homemade up pipe. Mazda 323 throttlevalve.
Running on 3 till 7 psi boostcontrolled and going up to 14 when tuned.

Nice project you had done their. Wow..

Is the 600 bodies big enough for a 1200 cc engine..??

It´s just because many other "normaly" build 1000 bodies on their bikes if they are building turbo and so on.

My GSX-R 1100 from 1991 is born with 40 mm carbs and I had bodies from a 600 and they are also 40 mm.

But would I maybe get a better result if I fit 1000 bodies insted when my futere plan is to build a turbo on it..??
