I would love to know all the details on your bike. Im doing something similar using an oil cooled 1100 engine. Just now getting engine mounted and suspension set up.

mine is oil cooled also its an 1127 katana engine which out of all the 1100s that 1 makes the most power cause of alot of changes to the motor by suzuki but just looking at them you cant tell them apart. so what do you want to know about it.what are you trying to get out of yours.for the power i made i have less than 1300.00 in my whole set up. let me know what motor you have and what you want to do and i can pretty much guide you to where you want to be with it.

My engine is originally from a 92 GSXR 1100. Bored 4mm over, lightened and balanced crank,Crower rods, ported head and Web cams. I have a Holset HX30 turbo sitting on the shelf that I would love to put on my bike. My biggest question is what you used for a trigger wheel for the MegaSquirt. Also which MSD pump did you use? I have an Aeromotive A1000 regulator I plan to use. Im a pretty good fabricator so the plumbing wont be an issue. My bike made 192 at the wheel naturally aspirated. I would like to see 350 after a good tune.

well 350 is easy as "crap" with that motor and those mods.the hx30 is way to big i run those on 2.3 ford turbo motors and they take forever to spool you need to stay around a garrett gt28 or something with a .48/.60 or.63/.60 ar ball bearing preferably but not necasary.keep the stock ignition with no advancers cause no aftermarket ign has a curve like the stock 1 does its perfect for a turbo.get your trigger sig from the tach wire at the cdi box black with a red tracer i think.cut the wire and run it from the box to the ms wire then run your tach output from the ms to the tach wire going to the tach so you can have a tach. i run the same regulator now the fuel pump im not sure th part# but its the inline pump capable of 100psi it costs around 100$ from jegs i can get the number if they cant find it.make sure your compression ratio stays around 10:1 anythin higher will limit your boost without race gas.and be sure your cams dont have alot of overlap its best to go to stock cams or a set 89 750 or katana 1100 cams they ar the best profile for a turbo.you can email directly at proctor.christophe@insightbb.com and i can send you some pictures.

My hx30 is actually off my brothers 2.3. Just replaced it with a hx40. Was really hoping it would work to save a few bucks. I also have an IHI from an older Probe but i dont remember the specs. I am going to replace my cams with stockers because the ones i have are pretty wild. Havent decided if im going to run a cylinder spacer or get new pistons yet.i dont have a stock ignition system. I run a Dyna 4000 right now. I have a friend with a stock 90 Katana that he may be parting so i may buy his cdi box and pickup. Wiring the ms sounds pretty simple. Im going to order one next week from DIY. I appreciate the help. I will send you an email and get some pics and send you some of mine........thanks, tony

you can run the ihi but they where really bad turbos find 1 off like a 89 saab 900 or volve with a t3 flange they are small but work good on that motor.if that kanatuna hes parting out is 600 or 750 you cant use his cdi it has a harder curve and do not use the dana 4000 they are junk they have a flat line for a curve.

I guess I will try to find a better turbo. Was just trying to use one that I already had. The IHI is a rebuilt unit that I have had for a while. thought about using it on my wifes 600. Im looking for a cdi from a 1100 now. Should have one in my parts stash but I havent found it yet. The Dyna worked good naturally aspirated. Keep it for another project i guess.
