Keith Ballantyne, International Harvister SV-392 in Scout II

Post by ihcfan »

I just put a rebuilt engine in and fired it up with my MS-II (V 3.0 board).

Engine: International Harvister
Displacement:392 C.I. V-8

Vehicle: Scout II
Year: 1972, 74, 79 (depending on which parts you're looking at).

Throttle Body: GM from 350
Injector Flow: 55 lbs/hour.
IAC: Stepper pintle valve from GM.
TPS: Same from GM.

Distributor: Custom distributor built out of holley dizzy (OEM for my vehicle) and modified with Fords DuraSpark components.
Ignition: Relectuance to GM 7-Pin HEI from Ford Duraspark wheel and sensor. Advance control from MS-II (also has limp home mode if advance from MS-II ever fails on the road.

Other: Torqueflite 727 auto, Dana 20 T-case, and all new wiring, along with other offroad goodies (lockers/etc.) that I'll probably never really use after having moved.

I had it running earlier on an SV-345 but the engine was tired. I have a bit of tuning to do, and some buttoning up, then it will become my daily driver.
