Honda 90 Single (89 cc)

Post by Gareth »

Well, it runs, on LPG only so far, but everything works and once the running pressure and fuel pwms (and jet sizes) have been refined it's on with the tuning.

Running MS1 with MSExtra code, fuel only, TechEdge WBO2, switchable maps for E85/LPG (when I can work that bit out) in a standard Honda 90 cc single cylinder motorcycle engine fitted into a small 3 wheeled single seater based on a City-el, ex-electric car. Best so far on a carbuteror is 742 mpg using E85. Hoping for over 1,000 this year.

Thanks to all the developers for making this project possible.....

Update - spent the morning playing with the LPG setup and using ve analyser to try and map it a bit. Drives around the school field fine, but needs leaning out in most places. Now I can see how quick it would be on a dyno.
Then added the liquid FI system, did req fuel and hit the go button. Ran briefly then died rich. A bit of reduction to req fuel had it running fine, then some tweaking of the ve map made it even better. Let it run out of petrol, filled up with E100. Changed reqfuel to plus 40 % and it ran just fine on that too. Three fuels in 5 minutes! Pleased or WHAT??

Spent some time on a mini-rolling road and have got it mapped up real sweet on petrol & E100 (bioethanol). Need to create more load for the road as it's hard to keep the engine in each cell, but by guessing you can fill some gaps.

Next up is LPG!!
