1993 Peugeot 405 running for 18 months!

Post by nzpug »

Hi, this is a belated post - my MS has been running my 405 for 18 months with no problems. The OEM ECU suffered water flooding and a replacement couldn't be found, eventually I laid out my own version of the MS2.2 board, and fitted in the Bosch OEM case.

Engine: 1905cc SOHC (with bonus blown head gasket.... :yeah!: )
Ignition: removed OEM motronic 3.1 with 60-2 flywheel pickup and fitted distributor ignition from earlier 405 (it seemed easier to start with!)

On the 'to do' list:
1/ convert bakc to original 60-2 pickup and wasted spark coil pack, using MSnS.
2/ Fit wideband O2 sensor for fine tuning.
3/ Fit an additional row of injectors - for natural gas (CNG/GNV etc) and change code to MSns extra, use dual table for selecting either petrol or gas including different spark timing. This will be the fun project, although I might save it for a Peugeot 605...
