Baldur Gislason, 1967 Jeepster Commando
Vehicle: 1967 Jeepster Commando
Engine: 1970's 400 small block Chevrolet V8, stock heads, slight overbore and 9.8:1 compression.
Injection: Edelbrock Torker II single plane intake manifold, injector mounts made by welding extra material to the manifold and holes for injectors drilled out.
Fuel rail is from steel piping.
Throttle body is a Quadrajet carb with all the fueling stuff gutted.
Injectors are Accel 34lbs High-Z
Megasquirt'N'Spark on a modified HEI distributor.
Description: This is my dad's truck, full off road setup with 44" tall tires in the winter and 40" in the summer.
The engine has never been this responsive before, and the top end performance gain was huge.
Fuel economy still sucks but that's probably mostly caused by the high gear ratios and small torque converter.
We had some problems in the beginning with processor resets, never really found out what caused but I fixed it by replacing the ECU with my backup/testing unit.
