64 Falcon, 289, Dual TBI w/LS2 coils

Post by ol boy »

289 with aluminum heads, torquer intake and demon carb. LS2 coils. MS2extra V3.0 2.0.1code. 20-1 wheel, waste spark format. Took 3 days to install and get running. Car has been driving since Aug on this set up.

Removing the top half of a dizy sure cleans up the engine bay. Hoping to get a dual TBI set up going in a few months.

That does look pretty clean without the distributor. From reading this and some of your other posts, you and I are thinking long the same lines. I haven't started my EFI project yet, just in the thinking about it stage, been waiting lately for the Sequencer to get released.

I sent you a PM, but thought I'd post a reply in case you don't log in every time you visit the forum. What exactly did you do for oil pump drive? Did you have a machine shop cut down a distributor housing, or is there a ready made product available to drive the oil pump in the absence of a distributor?

Update... running 3.0.3u and a JAW wideband system. A/F numbers into the 16's under light loads at 80 mph. Getting slightly better than 20mpg running 70 to 75 mph during freeway use. I need to work on WOT operation next. Fun project so far.

Thanks Ryan

Why stop at one? That is awesome. Is that a modified ammo box?
