1988 AE82 4AGE smallport

Running a modified cam pulley as a crank angle sensor machined to give a 36-1 setup at cam speed allowing for sequential spark and injection. All of the original sensors are picked up with a patch loom and extra wires run for the rest of the gear. Holden alloytec COP's are used for ignition along with standard injectors. Idle air controlled with GM stepper motor setup.

You are very brave by removing a teeth from the cam pulley. Aren't you worry the timing belt will skip a teeth?

No i'm not worried about that. The cam belt is in contact with over a quarter of the timing gear at any one time. The number of teeth in contact with the belt even with one tooth removed is good. Been running around for a while now no probs.

Also being a non interference engine if the belt skips the worst thing that's going to happen will be power loss or the engine stopping.
